The surplus store continues to increase in building material donations plus in the amount of people that come in looking for ways they can afford to fix up their homes. We receive donations from many sources, the Harlan County Chaplin Corps have been donating some new doors, sinks, and much more, they are a great help to the schools, churches and ministries in this area. There is always a need for windows, hot water heaters, and lumber of any kind. We don't throw much away, a scrap of plywood can make the difference whether a floor gets fixed or not. There are many young families starting out with their first homes, most of them are fixer uppers, we're glad to be able to lend a hand or give some advice on how to make the repairs. Giving out furniture has become a part of what we donate to those in need, people are always waiting for beds, couches, dressers, and appliances. They go out as fast as we get them. We've been blessed with the help from Willis, Muggins, Joe, Michael, Ed, Chris C. and Roger, as well as many from mission teams, thank you all! We look forward to working with you more in 2011!
